Dear Sir/Madam,
Bengal Journal of Private Psychiatry (BJPP) is the official publication and journal of Indian Association of Private Psychiatry, West Bengal State Branch (IAPP WBSB). It’s a unique and challenging opportunity for me when I was assigned the task of being the Hony Editor of BJPP, the official mouthpiece of IAPP WBSB. I love this back-office staff as I was familiar while doing the work as editorial board members of IJPP. JIMA, Your Health & BJPP. But there is no state journal of IAPP in the country which sustained so long despite many challenges.
At the outset, my challenge was to make the journal regularized and viable. I am extremely thankful to all the contributors who have sent original research articles, pictorial CME, case reports, case series, meta-analysis or systemic reviews in three consecutive years. I am indebted to all contributors to share their intellectual property to get published in BJPP.
I am especially grateful to all the EC members of IAPP West Bengal State Branch who have shown trust on me. This time the job is more challenging being the organizing secretary of PSYCON 2026.
Two unique things have happened this year.
1. Firstly, the BJPP crossed 100 pages this year.
2. Secondly, we’ve created website of Bengal Journal of Private Psychiatry with archiving of past issues. You may click to download past issues. www.bjppjournal.com
I hope, I will be able to live up to your expectation in future as well. Kindly submit your research articles, experience and viewpoints in BJPP, because learning is a continuous and bidirectional process which gives us immense dividend when you share.
